The Portrait Process

Once you have booked your session in with Charles, you will be sent a confirmation email consisting of where to meet, what-to-wear, and the cost of prints etc. Please be sure to read this information as it is full of vital information for your session.

The day before your session one of Charles’s staff will contact you to confirm your shoot and time.

Sessions are only postponed in cases of heavy rain and/or very strong winds for our outdoor portraits.

Don’t worry about the weather! We continue with the shoot even when it is sprinkling. You and your family will be nice and dry in one of our sheltered secluded areas.

As overcast light is actually best for photography, and the parks are usually beautiful and quiet during inclement weather, this is can be one of the better times to take your photographs.

Do not worry if a child is sick. Please contact the studio as soon as possible so that we may move the shoot to a more convenient day.

Once you have had your session one of our friendly staff will again contact you to book in your complimentary cinematic viewing session to see your beautiful photographs in our Double Bay studio.

During this viewing you will be given the opportunity to select your favourite images you wish to purchase. You may also be shown a variety of different products to choose from.

It is advisable that you attend the viewing session with your partner as orders are placed during this time.

Please be aware that viewing sessions are only available during normal studio working hours (Monday to Friday). This is because weekends are reserved for photography purposes only, unless other arrangements have been made with our studio.
